If your current MS licence agreement is terminating before the end of June (Microsoft's end of financial year) then you are in a great position to negotiate.
Negotiating rules to remember:
1) Make sure that you are talking to the right reseller to ensure you are going to get the best price.
2) The usual areas of negotiation apply as always, but in the run up to June push a little harder.
3) Never submit inventory information to the publisher unless you know exactly what it means - How to contact the authorities
4) If any deals or agreements are made that are specific to your organisation then absolutely ensure that you have confirmation in writing from Microsoft personnel rather than the reseller.
